ATTORNEYS ADVICE : DO NOT SIGN NON DISCLOSURE AGREEMENTS (NDA) FROM
M. C. David Waathiq also known as Mujaahid D. Waathiq also known as M. David. Wattiq

The following is a message we discovered on Craigslist (2005-05-12, 11:59AM PDT)
Hi,

If something (or someone) sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

I posted my small business ad on Craigslist and got a response from a man that said he would be interested in discussing an opportunity about my business with him. I emailed him back and also spoke to him a couple times on the phone. We had two failed attempts at meeting but I now wonder if he was never going to appear in the first place. The first time he said he saw me but stepped away & that I was gone when he got back.

Anyway, he was a big talker of grandeur - having a way to make me money, hiring me as a consultant, etc. etc. He had two fancy websites (this one, and this one) which I know means nothing. He offered to show me a demo of his product & then when I inquired about seeing it, he emailed me a lengthy non-disclosure agreement. I had an attorney review it & was told that it had ridiculous expectations in it, with no reciprocity or protection for me. It was also pre-mature to be signing anything when I wasn't really told any "meat" about the business proposal or how it would work or how I would be compensated.

From the start I was waiting for the tables to turn by being asked to buy something from this guy. I was suspicious from the start about the whole thing and kept waiting for the other shoe to drop.

So I emailed the guy that my lawyer advised me not to sign the NDA but I would like to have a meeting to discuss the idea in general terms. He replied saying under no circumstances could we do that & good luck with my endeavors. I was fine with that since it was starting to get more suspicious anyway.

Today, out of curiosity, I googled the guy's name (since it doesn't sound common) & was shocked to see that the first link that came up accuses him with evidence of being a con artist!. Apparently he preys on the Craigslist community for his leads!

Here are the links to the sites. I am not the author of these sites, but I am just passing along what evidence people have found about this guy.

Bottom line, if someone like this guy contacts you about a business "deal" that will make you money and it sounds too good to be true, IT PROBABLY IS! BEWARE!! He just lost me as a mark so is likely on the lookout for his next one!
