A designer from France was hired as Production Manager for a new Waathiq venture: Aries Communication. Aries moved away from advertising in newspapers, because Mr. Waathiq had burned all his bridges there while he was running Adsalesmark. Instead, Aries promoted websites combined with business cards, letterhead and massmailed postcards that a business would buy and use to create a distinct brand.

Aries' biggest sale was a website for the Special Education Department of De Anza college. This job was passed to Mr. Waathiq by his wife Pauline. But because De Anza would have frowned on this familial arrangement the check was made out to the french designer, who Mr. Waathiq walked to the bank for the cash.

Eventually, the French designer had enough of Mr. Waathiq who kept trying not to pay him. He quit and demanded payment in exchange for the source files created for Aries communication customer websites, cards, etc. He exchanged the files for $1500 in back pay and quit. Mr Waathiq told customers that "he had fired his designer" and then went to Craigslist for fresh designers to continue the illusion of Aries.

In the end, Mr. Waathiq while collecting money from all the clients did not pay the ISP that was hosting Aries communication website. He tried to get the designers who had worked on individual projects to resubmit customer files, but since he had not paid these web designers either, the entire venture collapsed.
